Giving Back: North Valley Hospital Trauma Patients Given Clothing

Chandler Communications has recently reached out to a noble cause in the Whitefish, Montana community. North Valley Hospital, a long-time client of Chandler, made mention that patients of the hospital are often in need of clothing to wear home from their visit. In some cases, paramedics have hastily cut off the patient’s clothes after a traumatic accident.

Naturally, family members rushing to the hospital in such a scenario don’t think to grab a spare shirt and pants on their way out the door. Other times, the patient is simply in dire financial straits and may arrive for treatment with little or no clothing in the first place. In either case, Chandler Communications has vowed to help.

In June 2011, Chandler made the first donating of clothing to start off an ongoing assistance project for North Valley Hospital patients in need. An estimated four months’ supply of clothing items were cleaned, sorted, labeled and donated, and nurses arranged an appropriate storage location that allows staff to quickly access the items when the need arises.

Catherine Todd, Marketing Director at NVH, states, “Dear Gary and Megan, On behalf of North Valley Hospital, thank you for the thoughtful donation of clothing for our patients who need something clean to wear home. Not only did you purchase the items, but also cleaned, bagged and labeled each one! You’re amazing and much appreciated! Best – Catherine Todd”.
